Our Story

Our mission is to provide our guests with incomparable multi-sensory BC urban, wilderness or water-based, culinary infused experiences that are fun, authentic and that leave you refreshed and rejuvenated with unforgettable memories and stories… and perhaps a new perspective.

The BC Adventure Company operates private tours on the unceded lands of the First Nations of British Columbia, and we thank and recognize them for this. We will also be providing access to special events and privileges, post-pandemic, that are provided through decades of expertise from BC Adventure Company’s owner-operators.

Co-owner and operator, Alasdair Douglas joined BC Adventure Company’s sister company, Rockwood, in 2018 and is the Managing Director and a guide for the company. In 2020 he was joined by his wife Nancy Celetti, as head of operations. They bought the company from Alasdair’s family life-long friend, Manfred Scholermann, who is still actively involved with the company. 100% of Rockwood’s clients had been international guests. So in 2021, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, they pivoted to launch BC Adventure Company to sell directly to regional BC and Canadian guests who wish to have world-class, unique, and authentic experiences at home, and with a deeper purpose to aid our fellow species and the ecosystems around us. Nancy & Alasdair have brought decades of expertise in hospitality & tourism marketing, business and people management as well as additional operational process to the company from management roles held across a number of high-profile and successful companies.
